Minutes for meeting held on: 5-12-2012

Meeting called to Order at: 8:36 AM by Vice President Janiece Robinson

Minutes of April meeting were read. Les Armstrong made a motion to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Jim Brines and the motion passed.

Deb Palmer read the Treasurers Report. Randy Hutchison made a motion to accept the Treasurers Report as read, seconded by Les Armstrong and the motion passed.

Deb Palmer reported that the PLP (Public Lands for the People) called her and they had received the check and our tickets (raffle). She told them that she had already stopped payment on the check but she would send them another check. They agreed to hold the tickets until they received the new check.

The Board Of Directors reported back to the membership that they had decided not to participate in the Wal-Mart parking lot Spring Event but asked members to go and check the event out and report back to the WPA. Maybe we could participate in the next one.

Deb Palmer reported she has sent the fee for our booth at the Riverton Day In the Park which will be held on July 14th. Anyone wishing to volunteer will be welcome. Set up will start at 6:00 AM on July 14th.

After some debate on the Club Computer (now in possession of the Secretary) which was purchased last year and was in need of some software, Randy Hutchison made a motion to purchase the software, seconded by Rick Messina and the motion passed.

The Board of Directors proposed additions to the Membership Application and the WPA Bylaws. Following discussion the following additions were adopted by a motion made by Randy Hutchison that the Resident Family Membership Qualification is: Couple plus legal dependents for whom you are responsible and that the same be added to the membership application and the WPA Bylaws, seconded by George Vandel, the motion carried.

The next meeting is June 9, 2012 at the Miners Grubstake at 8:00AM with no host breakfast at 9:00AM.

Note: following the meeting on May 12, we were invited to prospect on a private claim. Some members left the site where they were working without filling in the holes they dug. Another member had to fill in their holes.
